Guidance with Lili
Providing companionship on your caregiving journey
Are you struggling and exhausted trying to maintain your life while being a caregiver?
Would you like to feel more confident and in control of your caregiving routine?
I hear you.
When I became a caregiver in my early 40s, I had so many questions, fears, and challenges. Besides being new to caregiving, it seemed like everyone had their own agendas about how things should be done and some of those ideas didn’t seem to put the person in need of caregiving first.
While I feel it’s a privilege to be a caregiver, I also know it can be a lonely, anxious time, full of responsibilities and a lot of unknowns.
If you’re feeling like would like support from a caregiver who’s gone through the struggle, I’d love to be a companion for you on your caregiving journey.
The 3 Main Reasons Most Caregivers Feel Stressed

1. Forced to Adapt to a New Situation
This new role as a caregiver can creep up slowly – you start handling more and more of their tasks and responsibilities until you finally see they need full time care.
Or it can happen suddenly because of an injury or medical condition.
Change isn’t easy, especially when we become the caregiver for a parent or parent-like figure.
The role reversal doesn’t feel right and, if you’ve never been a caregiver before, it can feel overwhelming. Even if you’ve been a caregiver before, each person will have different needs and challenges.
2. Uncertain About the Future
New caregivers may be especially anxious about the future. This new role brings with it a lot of questions and responsibilities.
- How do you keep your Loved One clean?
- What happens when their medical condition changes?
- How do you negotiate with doctors and care staff to figure out the best plan?
- How do you balance work and family with your new responsibilities?
- How do you make this the best experience for everyone, especially your Loved One?

3. Lacking Support & Guidance
Family and friends will often have their own opinions about how to handle your Loved Ones’ situation (whether they’ve been a caregiver or not!) and don’t know how to help.
Their hearts might be in the right place but you feel overwhelmed with all the different opinions, especially if they conflict with your own.
For new caregivers especially, you might not even know exactly what kind of help you need or how to ask for it.
On top of that, you may have less contact with friends, family, and community at a time when it’s needed most, simply because you don’t have the time.

That’s Why I’m Here to Help

You might know me already but my name is Lili.
For 12 years, I was a caregiver to three of the most important people in my life – my Mom, Dad and Aunt Esther. When I became a caregiver, I felt like I had very few options in line with what my heart, soul, and gut were telling me to do.
I know how difficult this time of your life can be but there is a way to create an atmosphere and help your Loved One through their passing that will not only help them but help all who love them and the team caring for them as well.
I’ve coached caregivers to achieve balance in their life and be on top of everything. And I’d love to help you too. As a certified End of Life Doula and having worked to create the best possible deaths for my own beloved family, I’m here to help you figure out how to make your Loved One’s transition as loving, nurturing and peaceful as possible.

As someone working in geriatric social and support services, death was a topic that I dealt with regularly. It felt heavy and taboo. It wasn’t until Lili entered my life that I was able to frame it not as a time of profound loss and sadness and fear, but as a sacred transition, process, and passage to be honored. Lili’s wisdom completely shifted how I viewed the end-of-life experience, which not only improved my own experience of the loss of Loved Ones, but how I was able to support clients making their own transitions.
